“Secret”—The word has a magical ring to it doesn’t it? As children we are fascinated with secrets, but keeping a secret is a difficult thing to do.

Son-Quest Rain Forest - June 18th - Day 5
It's the last day of VBS - time for our game show! Let's review all we've learned. On Monday, we were challenged to GET IT! with the story of the Parable of the Sower. On Day 2 - we realized that we needed to GET FOUND! by Jesus - just like the lost sheep. Day 3 focused on GET LOVE! We need to reach out and show God's love to those around us. Day 4 reminded us to GET PRAYING! Don't give up. Keep knocking, keep praying, for the Lord really does hear and answer our prayers. And finally, on Day 5 - we were encouraged to GET GOING!
The Importance of Christian "Apps"
I love technology, don’t you? I’m glad that I’ve lived long enough to see computers become part of our daily lives, to have satellite dishes and video recorders give us freedom in what we choose to see when we want to see it, and to have, not only cell phones, but smart phones.
VBS 2010 - Son-Quest Rain Forest - Day 4
Hat day was a smash hit with lots of hats - all kinds - flowers, caps, feathers, pipe cleaners, cat in the hat, jester - every style under the sun.
Our hats go off to those who made the most important decision of their lives - accepting Christ as Savior and Lord. Today, Dr. Jones gave a salvation spotlight and a number of children came forward to learn more about becoming God's child. Pray for these ones and for more to be drawn to HIM.
VBS 2010 - Son-Quest Rain Forest - Day 3
Wednesday was HAIR DAY, with some wild and wacky doos. We had colored, geled, extended, and pig-tailed! Rubberbands were in abundance. So were the kids - with 96 in attendance.
Today's serious business - getting to learn how to Get God's Love! - in the Good Samaritan's story. Mrs. Lisa used a game in her Bible class to reinforce the lesson, while Mr. Marshall extended his room into the hallway for a drama, complete with fake blood and bandages. The boys especially enjoyed the lesson.
VBS 2010 - Son Quest Rain Forest - Day 2
Back at the Rain Forest with 94 brave explorers. Today, we learned just how much God loves us in the Parable of the Lost Sheep. The Shepherd - Jesus - left the 99 sheep to find the one who lost its way.
In crafts, everyone got to make their own sheep: cotton ball sheep masks in K Crafts and fuzzy sheep magnets in 1st - 6th - reminders that we, too, are like sheep.
We even ate sheep crackers - BAAAA!
While we made lots of white crafts, we wore tons of GREEN today. The color was all over the place.
Don't forget - CRAZY HAIR DAY Wednesday! Remember - Mr. Daniel!
